Summary from Back of Book.
In the middle of the year, in the middle of her life, Bethanne Hamlin takes a road trip with her daughter, Annie, and her former mother-in-law, Ruth. They're driving to Florida for Ruth's 50th high-school reunion. A longtime widow, Ruth would like to reconnect with Royce, the love of her teenage life. She's heard he's alone, too…...

Bethanne herself needs time to reflect, to ponder a decision she has to make -  whether or not to reconcile with her  ex husband, Grant, her children's father.

Meanwhile, Annie's out to prove to her onetime boyfriend that she can live a brilliant life without him!

So there they are, three women driving across America. They have their maps and their directions—but even the best-planned journey can take you to a turn in the road. Or lead you to an unexpected encounter—like the day Bethanne meets a man named Max ...

My thoughts:
Again another enjoyable book by Debbie Macomber.  Bethanne, Ruth and Annie have a very interesting  journey across the USA.  En route they meet some interesting bikies who help them out when they are stranded because their car conks out.  The women's reaction and distrust of the men, especially that of Ruth was entertaining and humorous.

Bethanne has changed over the years since Grant walked out on her, and I like the way she holds to the newer self.  Annie too learns a little about self hood and standing on her own two feet. Ruth finds all she is looking for and more.  I was very happy with the decisions that they all made.

I found the story a little slow at times, and must say I prefer the books when some of the other characters from Blossom Street are more than glimpsed.  However a worthwhile read and it almost brings me up to date with this series.
