Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

I am busy at work so books I have been reading will only get a review on my blog if they are ones for review.... or I really am moved to write about it.

What I read last week:
Okay 3 star read.
No review

Really enjoyed this third in a trilogy.

Review pending.

Finished the Audiobook
Was not as taken by it as many readers.

This week I am reading:
Reunion in Death by J.D. Robb
#14 in series

This week I started listening to:
The Violets of March
Sarah Jio

Next up:
I think I will read                     Maybe This Christmas by Sarah Morgan.

  1. That sucks that you did not enjoy the Catherine Anderson book. You are reading in death series. Hoping to read it in the new year.

    1. Well it was okay - not a waste of time, just not as good as some of hers!

    2. I understand that. I like her newer ones better. I still have a few new ones of hers to read.

    3. Nice to have some of her later ones yet to read. I think she has new one out in Jan or Feb and I will be pre-ordering!

    1. So do I. I see it was her first book so looking forward to listening to it, haven't started yet.

  3. I like the idea of not reviewing a book you didn't love. Do you review it in Goodreads or anywhere else? (Am considering different approaches myself!)

    1. Deb, I usually put a line or two on Goodreads. I am not reviewing some at the moment because of time issues - would rather read than write in my spare time! I could drum up a review but just noting I've read it is enough for me! Also thinking about not reviewing series books all the time, In Death series being one in point.

  4. I have to tell myself I don't have to review everything I read. It seems kind of liberating not to feel pressure to do that- think that's a great idea.

    1. Greg, yes exactly, it's lifting the pressure, especially at times when I'm busy. Like now! Of course I will review anything I have accepted for review, but many older books I read, I am sure have been reviewed to death by now!

  6. I find it really difficult to review series when I've read instalments one after another. I hope you enjoy this weeks selections

And...I still haven't read a Sarah Jio book. I do have one or two on my shelf.
