#FitReaders Weekly Check in

FitReaders Banner
So checking in to 2015 and I'll count the recent week going back into the end of December.  In November and December my walking dropped off a bit, other things took priority.  However this week has seen me get back on track, I have walked every day and a little gardening here and there.

My weekly goal is 52 500 steps and I am getting back up there. I realise I am going to actually need to go out walking every day to reach that.  Now I am no longer working I don't do a lot of steps as part of  an ordinary day.  I find it really motivating to see what steps others are doing through Fitbit and while I am not competing with them, seeing what they are doing pushes me out the door rather than sitting down!

I'll stick to this goal for the time being and see how I go, I am walking to help stay healthy and while losing a few kilos would not hurt, I think I will just throw out a few clothes that don't fit rather than angst about getting more hippy than I like!

  2. Everyone has a FitBit these days. I love that it's better than just an ordinary pedometer. I'm not coutning steps myself just how long I run and exercise videos I do as well as water intake. Good luck on your weekly goal this year (:

  3. I've had my FitBit for a little over a year. I love it. Between it and BookBlogWalkers, now FitReaders, I find myself more motivated to get moving on a more regular basis. Good luck on your goals.

  5. Great goals Kathryn! I try to get 10k steps in 5 days a week and 5k steps in on the weekends. Now that I'm training to walk another 1/2 marathon in March, that schedule might change a bit depending on when I need to do the distance walks (or when I can fit them in!).

  6. I got a Fitbit for Christmas and am still figuring it out. I go to the pool three times a week and take off the fitbit and then forget to put it back on!

  12. Good luck with your goals! I got a Fitbit for Christmas but I'm finding it awkward to have it on my wrist all the time. I guess you get used to it.

  13. You and Diana Leigh @ Book of Secrets have motivated me to join this meme. I am going to work on my first post, and then hopefully get out of my chair and start exercising!

    1. Pat that is so great. I just wouldn't do this without everyone in the reading world. I found it so helpful last year. It's the support of just knowing. Do you listen to audiobooks? It's a good time to set aside listening time as well!!

    2. I don't listen to audio books because I find myself daydreaming - then loose my place. I am looking forward to participating in this challenge. Thanks.
