It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

My, it seems a long time ago to me since last Monday.  I know a year has passed, but this week just seems to have had so much going on it seems longer. Happy New Year to you and may 2015 be a good one for all.

Last week I finished reading:
Jilted. Rachael Johns Book Cover

Two Novellas
Guarding Christmas   Jenny Schwartz
 Free Fall                   Suzanne Brockmann

One Plus One Book Cover
One Plus One

Come What May book cover
Review will be posted this week.
Very fitting first read of the year.

What I am reading at the moment:
First Frost  Sarah Addison Allen
I have just started listening to:
The Rosie Effect.  Graeme Simsion

Up next most likely:
I Saw Her Standing There   Marie Force
The Littlest Cowboy   Maggie Shayne
Bride Flight Marieke van de Pol
Don't be surprised if you haven't heard of the last one, it was a recommendation to me by a reader in the Netherlands, on her holiday exchange card.  It is a translation and is about brides that came to New Zealand after the end of WW11.  I was able to borrow it from a library so better read it before it is due back on the 18th.

  1. Do you believe I haven't read any JoJo Moyes?!

and I am so interested in that Brides book - a Canadian author wrote of that topic and was very well received. I'll check my library as well...

  7. I loved The Rosie Project but from all that I've heard of the sequel, it's a bit disappointing, so I haven't bothered to get a copy. Think I will keep it as a standalone in my head!

I have a couple of Jojo Moyes's books but have yet to read them! Me Before You and Night Music. I've been warned I'll need tissues, lots of tissues, for the former!

  8. I'm enjoying First Frost and can't wait to read your review of Come What May. I was offered a review book about brides arriving in NZ around WWII, I couldn't accept as I was going away but I must check if I still have the email ... I was curious about it then and more so now but the title you mention doesn't sound familiar.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading :)

    1. No this one was published in 2007 in Dutch and 2010 in English. I finished First Frost and enjoyed another visit to Bascom!

  10. A good week of reading for you. I have The Rosie Project and The Littlest Cowboy on my Kindle to read. I haven't read One Plus One, but did read Me Before You. I put it off for nearly a year for the same reason you did, I was slightly afraid of being so sad. I did need tissues, but not any more than The Fault in Our Stars. Go ahead and read it, it is very goo.

  14. I loved the Rosie Project, but have read that The Rosie Effect does not appeal as much to readers of the first book. Interested to hear what you thought. I look forward to One Plus One this year!

    1. Um yeah! The Rosie Effect is not as good, no laughs yet! However fact that it is on audio helps a little. Oh yes, that beautiful book swag you won had quite a few of Jojo Moyes I noticed. Drooling!

  15. Yes The R Effect isn't as good, but fact that it is audio helps. Yes I saw you had a few Jojo Moyes in the book swag you won. Drools! Although One Plus One may not have been in that.
