Hidden Away is a straight forward, pleasant contemporary romance. It is second in a series but stands alone very well.

Cherry and Taylor were an item in their teens until Taylor decided he needed time to grow and think and left the small town. He didn't want contact so he missed out on what happened next in Cherry's life.

Now that Taylor is back, pretty much for good, he hasn't made much contact with Cherry until her diner has a fire in it, and then her cousin and husband die, leaving her Sam an eight year old to care for. Well that is fine so long as the rest of the family are going to let that happen, but there is one snooty cousin, a lawyer who thinks he can give Sam 'a better home.'

Because Cherry needs a place to stay she ends up at the ranch of Taylor's Dad, and Sam comes too. A perfect place for one small boy. And now perhaps there is a second chance for Taylor and Cherry. Although there is one secret that Cherry is still hiding.

Hidden Away was an enjoyable read, with a second chance relationship in more ways than one, a town that pulls together, a mean lawyer and a loyal dog. If you are looking for a feel good, light romance that could almost be read in one sitting, then this one could be for you.
