It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
I didn't get as much read this week, I was absorbed in trying to learn new things in WordPress tutorials for html and css, and the hours flew by!!
I watched the final of Downton Abbey and the one for the special Bafta award for the show. There is one on something else about the show and then the Christmas show and then... I guess that's it.
If any of you are fans of women's fiction and members of Audible The Perfect Son by Barbara Claypole White is an absolute steal for $3.88, even though I have read it, I bought it because one of my fav books of 2015.
What I read last week:
What I am reading at present:

Also other editions call this one: The Secret Life of Cee Cee Wilkes.
Up next:
The Gamble by Kristen Ashley
Can't wait for the new season of Downton (we get it late here in the States). I enjoyed A Beautiful Lie, hope you do as well. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Diane Chamberlain book; mine was called The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes. I have enjoyed all of the books I've read by this author, some more than others.
ReplyDeleteYour other books look very tempting, too; I have never read any of these authors, but I am curious.
Enjoy your week!
I like the cover of Seafront tearoom and the holiday bustle is impacting my reading too. I hope your new coding skills come in handy, that's always helpful. I could stand to brush up on them myself! Hope you had a great weekend, and happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the Christmas episode of Downton Abbey though I won't get to watch it till I get home from my parents'. I'm sad the show is ending but I think it was time.
ReplyDeleteI almost bought the Seafront Tea Room at Barnes&Noble this past week but decided to wait and get it from the library instead.
The final season of Downton Abbey doesn't start here in the US until January. I'm counting the days, but also dreading the end. The Seafront Tea Rooms has a gorgeous cover!
ReplyDeleteI like the cover of Seafront tearoom and the holiday bustle is impacting my reading too. I hope your new coding skills come in handy, that's always helpful. I could stand to brush up on them myself! Hope you had a great weekend, and happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI need to catch up on Downton Abbey! Your books look fantastic - hope you get a lot of great reading done this week!
ReplyDeleteLinking up at #8 - my post will be live just after midnight EST. :)
Thanks Brooke, the time differences are a little challenging!! Happy Monday coming to you soon!
DeleteI just caught up to the recent season of Downton Abbey this year and now the only season I'll get to watch "live" is the final one. :-( It will be starting for us in January. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on learning new html etc. I was busy doing conversions these past couple of weeks and have finally found a system that works after learning through some errors.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed what you did read and have a good week this week.
That is cool that you are doing some learning about html. Diane Chamberlain is definitely an author I need to read again sometime. Too many authors, not enough time, lol.
ReplyDeleteNice mix of reads here.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the Downton Christmas special, did you know this was the final season :( ... sad. Good on you with the html & css, I've got a few html basics but that's it ... would love to get skilled up.
ReplyDeleteA Little Love looks cute, new to me, I'll have to check what it's about. Thanks for the heads up about The Perfect Son, I'm off to grab it.
Have a great week and happy reading!
The Diane Chamberlain book is on my list of books I plan to listen to in the near future--I've become addicted to her books, I think!
ReplyDeleteA Little Love looks like a good one. So does the Diane Chamberlain book. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathryn I'm knee deep in reviews LOL ;), work, work, work but as soon as I put these to bed my first read is Kristan Higgins. I'm a part of her blog tour! Thanks for sharing Happy Monday :) xo
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had some great reads last week. I am a bit jealous that you are already watching Downton Abbey. I am counting the days til it starts here. I wish I had any coding skills at all. I don't even know where to start. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and listening this week!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love it when you can get so wrapped up in learning new things?
ReplyDeleteAwesome books on your list this week! Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting excited for Downton Abbey to start up again in the states, but am a bit sad, too - I don't want it to end!!! My mom just got me the DVD's of seasons 1-5 for my birthday so now I'll just need to get season 6 when it becomes available for purchase and then I can watch it over and over again whenever the mood strikes :) I do so love that show!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to learn some coding and all that. Are you thinking of moving over to Wordpress?
Have a great week!!!
No Kristin at this point happy with my book blog on Blogger. I do have another blog on Wordpress, so learning for that. Nice to have the whole show on DVD.
DeleteI cannot WAIT to dive into the last (sob sob) season of Downton. Such a fantastic show. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you, when I'm into learning more about html and css as I had to do with my new blog design, I don't do as much reading.
ReplyDeleteWow, good luck with the computer skills, that's definitely over my head :) You do have an attractive blog already.
ReplyDeleteThanks on the Claypole White book price tip-- haven't read her yet but have heard good things.
I've been reading much more slowly this month, only one book or so a week but I know that will pick up in January when I have nothing else to do and life slows down in general here. Have a great week, Kathryn!
Thanks Rita, no I'll be leaving this blog as it is. I like it and am happy with it. The WordPress is just an extra interest.
DeleteIt'll be sad to see the end of Downton Abbey - I am quite looking forward to the Christmas special. Essential winter watching.
ReplyDeleteI discovered Diane Chamberlain's work relatively recently (within the year or so) and I've thoroughly enjoy some of her backlist. I'll have to check out some her more recent stuff.
Happy Reading!

I've only discovered her myself in the last 12-18months too - thanks to the blogging world!
DeleteI SO need the xmas special, I need HEAS
ReplyDeleteMe too, and there is one last one to come I hope on that Christmas special!!
DeleteI've never actually watched Downton Abbey, though I've heard so many great things about it. I wonder if I could convince my boyfriend to watch?
ReplyDeleteI loved The Seafront Tearoom. I see your title has Tearooms instead of the Tearoom.
ReplyDeleteENJOY your week. Hope the Diane Chamberlain book is good.
