So August was a bit of a slow month for me reading in terms of the number of books I read, I usually fit in two or three more. I wasn't well for one week and sort of off reading with it. However good practice for 2017 because I intend to read slower and read less!!

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I hope your are better now. It looks like you had a great reading month though!
ReplyDeleteI am better Pat, and looking forward to September reading.
DeleteYou got in quite a lot of reading, despite being sick! I'm still trying to finish a book today - it's my 2016hw book and if I don't finish it, it'll be my first month to not make it :( September 1st has just really snuck up on me! Hope you have an even better September :)
ReplyDeleteI know I really watch those two books I have committed to reading for the 2016hw challenge! But I am not working like you! Hope you make it.
DeleteOh I'm having a bit of a let down here Kathryn to say goodbye to summer in the US. Great post, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI know the year has gone by far too fast Debbie.
DeleteIt seems like I was just here for July's wrap-up -- the year is going by way too fast! I think you had a fabulous reading month and hope you have a wonderful September.
ReplyDeleteThanks Whitney. Yes I feel that way too, August just slid by so fast.
DeleteI think you did a great job, especially given that you were ill for a portion of the month.
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing a lot of positive feedback surrounding Leave Me by Gayle Forman at the moment, and I was keen to check out her first adult novel, so I'll have to keep my eye out for that one.
I hope you have a great reading month in September!
Jade I hadn't read any of her YA novels so was a new experience for me. Got to say hope she writes more adult fiction.
DeleteA lot of great titles there and so many for being sick. Happy September!
ReplyDeleteThanks Freda.
DeleteYou did very well this month. Some of these covers are definitely catching my eye.
ReplyDeleteI know aren't covers such a 'let's take a second look invite'.
DeleteI hope that you will have a great Sep
ReplyDeleteThanks, hope there will be some great reads!
DeleteI've never tried, but I don't think I can average more than 1 book/week. I'm so jealous of readers who can reading as much as you do. ;) I've read a few books in the Psy/Changeling and quite enjoy it. I'm looking forward to your review of that. I haven't had the pleasure of reading any Susan E. P. books. My friend loves Match Me if You Can. Have you read that? Great reading this month Kathryn!
ReplyDeleteYes Lonna I have read Match Me if You Can. On audio and I think it was my first. I have read all her books and wait for every new one that comes out. She only has a book come out every few years! I adore the Psy/Changeling series.
DeleteMy month had fewer books, too, but the thirteen I read (like you) were so enjoyable, I had a hard time picking a favorite, too.
ReplyDeleteI am very excited to see a new September book from Barbara Claypole White! It's going on my list. I already have the Robyn Carr there. Thanks for sharing.
I know, Barbara Claypole White has become another fav author for me. I guess its good when we find it hard to pick out favs for the month.
DeleteAnother productive reading month for you. Even if you think it wasn't as much as previous months. Wishing you all the best for September.
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa and wishing you the best too.
DeleteSorry to hear you were ill...but glad to hear you are all better :) I just finished Linda Lael Miller's new book - so sweet! I'm really enjoying this newest trilogy...and can't wait to read the next one. Hope you have a great September!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristin. Yes I think my reading of the LLM must be coming up very soon, I'm enjoying her latest trilogy too.
Deletelooks like you had a great reading month. It was also hard for me to pick favorites! Emma at Words And Peace
ReplyDeleteI just edited my post, by borrowing some of your charts. I inserted the reference to your site, and will keep it there every month. But if it's a pb, let me know. see here: https://wordsandpeace.com/2016/09/01/2016-august-wrap-up/
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome to use it. I know it is hard to pick favs isn't it when you like so many, but then that speaks of a great reading month.
DeleteReading slower and less in 2017…that sounds like a good plan! I may back off of book challenges in 2017 and just read free. :) Thanks for sharing your books with us.
ReplyDeleteYes sometimes I just feel like I am pushing myself through books because I have a schedule to keep and I don't like that.
DeleteI was sick in August too. I keep hearing about bloggers coming down with something. It's not even flu season and we're already falling ill! Thirteen is still a great number. How wonderful to pick up so many great reads. Hope you have a lovely September!
