This is a reading challenge hosted here. You can find all the details in the sign up post.
I find it helps me to keep track of what I have bought and what I have read. In 2016 the ones I didn't read I have transferred to a TBR reading challenge so that I can take time to read them. That makes me feel like I am in control of my spending, that I am reading what I am buying.
So the challenge allows for inclusion of books bought from July 2016 onwards until the end of December 2017. I'll just add to the list as I buy and mark off as I read.
These are the levels
20% or less Money Sitting on the Shelf.20 - 40% Making Inroads.
40 - 60 % Moderately Successful
60 - 80 % Maximising Returns
80 - 100% Mission Accomplished
If I have read about 65% of my books bought by the end of 2017 I'll count that a win, in 2015 it was 32%, 2016 will see me hopefully hitting 50%, so I want to keep on moving up!
Books from July onwards in 2016
Books bought in 2017
Indigo Beverley Jenkins
Their Finest Lissa Evans
The Mother's Promise Sally Hepworth
The Things We Do For Love Kristin Hannah
The Hourglass Tracy Rees
July onwards
Everything We Keep Kerry Lonsdale
In This House of Brede Rumer Godden
Something Old Something New Beverley Jenkins
Hold Your Breath Katie Ruggle
The Duchess Danielle Steele
Lord of the Fading Lands C. L. Wilson
Wilde in Love Eloisa James
You know, I would love to do this challenge...except for this. If I were to choose the LOWEST level--20%--that would still be about 160 books, which is more than I can read in a year!
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a TBR problem....
OMG you buy that many books in a year. I am putting that around 600 books. Wowee.
DeleteI'm intrigued by this challenge but at the same time terrified to actually have a count of the books I own and have bought! I think I'll just live vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteOnly bought since July 2016 counts!! Everything else goes on the TBR. Living vicariously is good!!
DeleteI think I am going to join you because... well, I need to get craacking. :)
