Top Book for May
I read some great books in May - The Swallow's Nest by Emilie Richards, Not a Sound by Heather Gudenkauf, Cafe by the Sea by Jenny Colgan and some more but my top book, such an amazing read was
Jodi Picoult wrote such a challenging and well researched book that I totally enjoyed and also learned from. I congratulate her on the topic she chose and the risk she took in writing it. She did a small great thing.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great month! I have Cafe by the Sea coming up and am really looking forward to it. I also have the Emily March book which I'm really excited about. She's one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteYay, I already have a Small Great Thing on my Kindle! I used to always read Ms. Picoult's books, despite some backlash she got about formulaic plots and expected twist endings. She is an entertaining writer! I will probably read this next week, based on your praise for it.
ReplyDeleteAlso want to read Cafe by the Sea and Almost Sisters. I read and really enjoyed Slightly South of Simple. I thought it was going to be set in the Carolinas at first, since she has another book with that in the title, but the Georgia coast is similar enough to where I'm going to move in NC :) I'm having a renewed interest in all southeast location books because of that. Thanks for a wonderful list to pick from, and I hope to participate in the monthly roundup next month (or I'll make one up in next few days if the link is still open).

Comparing to the previous months, last month ( May ) did well when it comes not only regarding reading but also reviewing those books. Read mysteries more along with other genres Looking forward to more in this month...Now concentrating more South Asian thriller writers...

ReplyDeleteI also loved Small Great Things- such a thought-provoking book and she definitely treated this difficult subject very well! I read Girl's Weekend by Cara Achterberg and loved it so I would be interested to read her newest one-
