It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 26th June

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Welcome in, hope you all had a great week and some good reading to delight your reading minds and hearts. I certainly enjoyed mine.

What I read last week:

Finished listening to...

Read from my own books...
I loved it. It is the start of a "new season" with this series and is set in Russia. I was worried leaving all the characters I love but this was perfect and I had to read it slowly and get lost in the bear's home.

I also read for review and it is also a She Reads pick, another excellent book.

  3. Looks like you have some great summery reads, even if it's not exactly summer in your neck of the woods. :) Hope you had a nice weekend and a great week ahead!

    1. Yes I have Viki, mainly on audiobook, she reads her own novels and does a very good narration as well as write the book!

  19. I only just discovered Anne of Green Gables for the first time last summer! I loved it & would love to read more of the series now. There is a brand-new TV adaptation on Netflix (Anne with an E) that is excellent - I'm really enjoying it.

Enjoy your books this week! Thanks for hosting the linkup -

  22. I was reading too fast and thought you said Anne of Avonlea was set in Russia. That's not how I remember it... Then I figured out that I had the commentary for the wrong book :-) Looks like a great reading week for you.

  23. Looks like you had a great week Kathryn. I'm just putting to bed all my September reviews and hopefully before I have to open the first page of October's I'll be able to get a few personal reads in. Fingers Crossed!

  24. I really need to read more from my own books. I haven't been very good about it but I'm continuing to acquire them so the stacks are getting a little overwhelming. Joshilyn Jackson is on my TBR. I've heard fantastic things about her books and my library has a ton of them so it's really just a matter of actually reading one though of course then I wouldn't be reading my own books. Too many choices!!! The Susan Mallery looks very good. I burned out a little on her Fool's Gold series but I'd love to try one of her other books.

  25. I just finished reading "Shriver" by Chris Belden. It's a witty academic satire!
