It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 18th July

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

A quiet week - lots of sewing, some reading and some time with a friend. My only frustration this week was that I dislike the changes on Bloglovin'. But a minor frustration really!

What I read last week:

I enjoyed the audio version of this book, once I got going with it I really liked it.

The following books are for review and reviews will be posted soon.

  2. I heard about the Bloglovin change but haven't seen it myself yet. I need to go take a look. And Beach Town looks nice. I'm reading The Girls in the Garden right now by Lisa Jewell, I hope I Found You is good as well.

  3. I have ordered Lisa Jewell's book, I Found You, which I couldn't get as an e-book, so I'll be waiting for the paperback to arrive.

I also love Susan Lewis's books, and haven't yet read The Moment She Left. Thanks for sharing...and enjoy your week.

    1. I know you love Susan Lewis - I don't think this one was as good as some of her others but I still enjoyed it.

  5. I'll be interested to read what you thought of the Lisa Jewel novel. I have one of hers coming up (although I don't think it is that one) and I've really enjoyed the books of hers I've read in the past.

  6. I've heard good things about the latest Lisa Jewells so hope you enjoy. For Bloglovin, I use it but can't say I've ever really gotten away with it. It never seems to do what I want. Have a good week.

  8. I'm excited to read "Belgravia"! I hardly even know what it's about, but I miss my "Downton Abbey" fix and I'm looking forward to trying some more historical fiction by its creator. Right now I'm reading "The Fireman" by Joe Hill, which I'm absolutely loving!

  9. I haven't had a chance to get back to reading the J.D. Robb series, but maybe I should catch up on audio. I hope you have a great week!

  11. Oh I know, why do they keep changing Bloglovin'? There are some changes that I like but mostly I do not. Looking for an alternative...

  12. I haven't been on Bloglovin' so I haven't seen the changes yet. I hate when things change like that. I didn't like the changes to Pinterest with all the suggested pins and promoted pins.

I have Belgravia on my TBR pile and look forward to reading it. Hope you enjoy it too!

    ENJOY this week.

I am not fully back into the swing of things, but hopefully soon.

  16. It looks like you're having a nice week of reading, and it's always nice to have a friend around. I haven't noticed the changes on Bloglovin', yet. I'll have to pop on over. I hope the J.R. Ward book is great for you. I still have The Bourbon Kings to read and didn't realize it's already time for the second one! Have a great week, Kathryn.

  17. I can honestly say that this week all your books (well maybe not the Ward one since I don't read her PNR ones) interest me and I wouldn't mind reading at all if I could obtain them. Thanks for your thoughts this week.

By the way, I didn't see anything new on Bloglovin this week-- it's been the same as it's been for awhile now... many ads you have to get past...annoying. However I rely on this to keep track of most of the blogs I read, besides the small amount that come in from email follows.

  18. I saw Belgravia at Costco last week and almost bought it. I haven't read any reviews yet, so I'll wait to do that before buying. Looks like you had a good reading week!

  20. I really need to read JD Robb. I love the Nora Roberts books but haven't jumped over to those. The Ward book is calling my name though I need to read the first one. I Found You and Belgravia both look fantastic. Bloglovin is driving me crazy right now. It won't load half my feed and I'm continually having to refresh to see new posts.

  21. Sounds like a nice balance to your week! I haven't read any of the authors you're reading now, but it sounds like a good variety!

Enjoy your books this week -

  22. I understand your frustration with Bloglovin'. It can a bit confusing on which post to read next. I've been getting used to it lately while reading blogs daily. I haven't sewed for weeks. I hope to get some in tomorrow. I have two pairs of shorts I'm going to try to alter.

  23. Belgravia looks lovely.
And, yes, bloglovin' is a problem to me, sometimes...

  24. Great line up Kathryn. I guess I missed the bloglovin change gonna check it out!

  25. I love sewing and miss it. I need to just put my books on audio, dust off the machine, and go to it. I like what I've read of Lisa Jewell, and that one is appealing to me, too. Have a great week, Kathryn.

  26. Sounds like you had a nice week and got good reading done too. I like the cover of I Found You. I hope to listen to another JD Robb before the year is out. I think I am at 15 or thereabouts.
Hope you have a good week and Happy Reading!
