It's Monday! What Are You Reading? October 10th '16

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Celebrating It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
First of all congratulations to Emma who was the winner of a $12 Amazon voucher from last Monday.

Emma chose the Amazon voucher which has now been sent to her, I hope she enjoys spending  it!

This week - there will be the same giveaway  - a $12 Amazon voucher or book to approximately that value from the Book Depository.

I have been neglecting my listening as I haven't been out walking that much and then to add to it on Tuesday I lost my Fitbit while out and about shopping etc. I am not sure if I will get another one.

This last week however I have spent some time outside trying to tame the garden. When I bought the house I thought the land was small, but when it comes to keeping it tidy, if feels large!!

I finished my quilt for Audrey and that has now been delivered!

What I read last week:

First and third were review books. They both were 3 star reads for me. Jojo Moyes one was good and came from my TBR shelf.

  4. Our landscaping (while not extensive) is such a time consuming thing to keep under control, so I can relate to the garden issues. Let it go too long and poof! everything grows like crazy. :)

I'd like to read more books set in Australia (and NZ for that matter)! Have a nice week!!

  5. The quilt is lovely - Sweet child too! Keeping a yard tidy does take some effort. My hubby was glad to get back on the mower to cut our lawn although I am behind in picking up the sticks that are always falling from our trees.
I like the look of the Jojo Moyes book.
I want to check out your reviews this week.
    Happy reading!

  17. What a sweet quilt; I love those blue-greys and the picture fabric. She is adorable all laid out in fun like that on her new quilt. Not posting today; haven't finished my Kindle book yet but it's good. My priority is to finish up the husband's sock. I have the toe to do and now he'll be pleased as punch with his new pair of Supermans. The weekend was busy making sure our tween had a lovely party with her girlfriends. Success and check.

  18. I have been neglecting my audiobooks lately as well. In fact, I haven't listened to any so far this year, must fix that. The quilt looks great! Losing your Fitbit is no fun. The band on mine broke not too long ago, so now I'm waiting on a replacement one they are sending me. Hope you enjoy your reading this week.

  20. Hi Kathryn! The quilt is marvelous and she seems to enjoy her new gift, doesn't she!

I like the covers of your new books but aren't familiar with them, except Flight Patterns, which I already have my eye on. The Christmas Town looks like a fun holiday read, so maybe I'll check into that one. Enjoy the week.
