It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
Celebrating It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
First of all congratulations to Emma who was the winner of a $12 Amazon voucher from last Monday.
Emma from Once Upon a Littlefield
Emma chose the Amazon voucher which has now been sent to her, I hope she enjoys spending it!
This week - there will be the same giveaway - a $12 Amazon voucher or book to approximately that value from the Book Depository.
I have been neglecting my listening as I haven't been out walking that much and then to add to it on Tuesday I lost my Fitbit while out and about shopping etc. I am not sure if I will get another one.
This last week however I have spent some time outside trying to tame the garden. When I bought the house I thought the land was small, but when it comes to keeping it tidy, if feels large!!
I finished my quilt for Audrey and that has now been delivered!
What I read last week:
First and third were review books. They both were 3 star reads for me. Jojo Moyes one was good and came from my TBR shelf.
From the local library.
What I am reading at present:
Review book, I had to pick it because I read Margaret Way years ago and well.... for old times sake! Set in Australia - Queensland. Poinciana is a tree, must look it up.
Posts from the last week:
First Star I See Tonight Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Two by Two Nicholas Sparks
What a lovely quilt!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books, and thanks for sharing. I hope you love Flight Patterns as much as I did.
That picture of Audrey on the quilt is very quilt.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm afraid I need to chastise you for reading a Christmas themed book ALREADY!!!! Noooooo!
Oh and sorry to hear about your fitbit!
DeleteI know snow and all!!!! Yeah so annoyed about the fitbit.
DeleteOh I'm thrilled you loved the Jojo Moyes book. I have to look up your review. And that quilt looks fabulous, especially with little Audrey sprawled on it! Have a great reading week.
ReplyDeleteOur landscaping (while not extensive) is such a time consuming thing to keep under control, so I can relate to the garden issues. Let it go too long and poof! everything grows like crazy. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to read more books set in Australia (and NZ for that matter)! Have a nice week!!
The quilt is lovely - Sweet child too! Keeping a yard tidy does take some effort. My hubby was glad to get back on the mower to cut our lawn although I am behind in picking up the sticks that are always falling from our trees.
ReplyDeleteI like the look of the Jojo Moyes book.
I want to check out your reviews this week.
Happy reading!
What a lovely quilt. The Kate White book looks good.
ReplyDeleteFirst off than you for the voucher. Received and already spent unwisely. Second how gorgeous is that quilt. I want one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! Wonderful color and design.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your reading week!
That quilt is amazing! Enjoy your reads, you've reminded me that I need to read more of Jojo Moyes' backlist - soon.
ReplyDeleteAudrey is adorable...I think she likes her quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job, Kathryn.
I LOVED Flight Patterns. I know you will too.
Have a wonderful week.
Elizabeth
Congratulations Emma! Great job on the quilt, it is beautiful and so is Audrey.
ReplyDeleteOh, no. I have lost a fitbit in the past. That is a bummer. :( Look at Audrey and her beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, Kathryn. Love the pic :) I'm not sure I'd replace my fitbit if I lost it. Still using a Fitbit One! I hope you have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Emma! I'm sorry about the Fitbit.
ReplyDeleteThose books look good especially the Karen White one. Have a great week!
Congrats Emma
ReplyDeleteI think you'll really like Flight Patterns I LOVED it!
Great line up!
xo
That quilt is beautiful
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt and she seems pretty excited! I absolutely loved Flight Patterns and I am hoping I can get my book club to read it. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet quilt; I love those blue-greys and the picture fabric. She is adorable all laid out in fun like that on her new quilt. Not posting today; haven't finished my Kindle book yet but it's good. My priority is to finish up the husband's sock. I have the toe to do and now he'll be pleased as punch with his new pair of Supermans. The weekend was busy making sure our tween had a lovely party with her girlfriends. Success and check.
ReplyDeleteI have been neglecting my audiobooks lately as well. In fact, I haven't listened to any so far this year, must fix that. The quilt looks great! Losing your Fitbit is no fun. The band on mine broke not too long ago, so now I'm waiting on a replacement one they are sending me. Hope you enjoy your reading this week.
ReplyDeleteQuilting to me seems like and amazing, impossible task. I love seeing your quilts!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathryn! The quilt is marvelous and she seems to enjoy her new gift, doesn't she!
ReplyDeleteI like the covers of your new books but aren't familiar with them, except Flight Patterns, which I already have my eye on. The Christmas Town looks like a fun holiday read, so maybe I'll check into that one. Enjoy the week.
I think Audrey likes her blanket :-P
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have some great titles lined up for the week - happy reading!
Too bad about your fitbit :(
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the little girl enjoying her new quilt!! It's lovely - you are talented!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your books this week -
Sue

ReplyDeleteHow annoying about the FitBit. I love the picture! She looks very pleased with her quilt. I have Christmas Town but haven't started on it yet. I'll be curious to see your review. The Lisa Kleypas and the Karen White are both on my TBR. I'm looking forward to them and hope you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteWhat I've read and am reading now are listed on my Sunday (Evening) Post http://powerfulwomenreaders.wordpress.com
ReplyDeleteI have been busy all day visiting and reading blogs. So, I haven't started reading yet today
I am always impressed with those who quilt.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt work, I wish I had the patience! Sorry to hear you lost your fitbit too - what a shame. Sounds like you have been busy in the garde, I hope the weather has been kind your way.

I will start reading The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim this week and am finishing Falling in Love by Donna Leon. Your quilt is very pretty and The Horse Dancer is an intriguing title.
