It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
Welcome in, hope you all had a great week and some good reading to delight your reading minds and hearts. I certainly enjoyed mine.
What I read last week:
Finished listening to...
Read from my own books...
I loved it. It is the start of a "new season" with this series and is set in Russia. I was worried leaving all the characters I love but this was perfect and I had to read it slowly and get lost in the bear's home.
I also read for review and it is also a She Reads pick, another excellent book.
What I am reading at present:
And listening to...
New to me author but seen some good reviews for it and so far I am really enjoying it.

Loved The Almost Sisters! Looking forward to Tulip Sisters. The Forever Summer looks like a perfect choice for the summer.
ReplyDeleteI want to get The Almost Sisters...and read more of the Anne of Green Gables series that I missed as a child.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
Looks like you have some great summery reads, even if it's not exactly summer in your neck of the woods. :) Hope you had a nice weekend and a great week ahead!
ReplyDeleteJust checked out Silver Silence and it sounds great. I hope you love it. I'll be back to check out your review when you finish. So curious. I hope you enjoy the other books you're currently reading and listening. Have a wonderful week and happy reading. :)
ReplyDeleteI won't be reviewing Silver Silence most likely here but it was a 5 star read for me, loved it.
DeleteI'm really curious about that one from Mallery. Love her books but am a bit behind on them unfortunately. Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteYou got some good books to read. Almost Sisters looks like a cool book. I heard that she is a good author, have you read her before?
ReplyDeleteYes I have Viki, mainly on audiobook, she reads her own novels and does a very good narration as well as write the book!
DeleteI don't think I've read any of the Anne books, though I know I watched the TV show, I should check them out.
ReplyDeleteI've seen "The Forever Summer" show up all over the place...I'm going to have to look into that one!
ReplyDeleteGlad you did like Silver Silence. I want to check it out. I haven't read Singh yet. Looks like more good reading in store for you this week. Have a good week and Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteThe Secrets of the Tulip Sisters sounds really good- so does the She Reads pick this week!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to hearing more about Almost Sisters. I've read Someone Else's Love Story by Jackson and enjoyed it. Glad to hear you are enjoying your reading. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch for your thoughts on The Forever Summer - I bought it but not sure when I'll get to it unless you convince me to move it up the stack :) I'll also be reading the Mallery soon. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of great reads. Have a nice week!

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
I only just discovered Anne of Green Gables for the first time last summer! I loved it & would love to read more of the series now. There is a brand-new TV adaptation on Netflix (Anne with an E) that is excellent - I'm really enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books this week! Thanks for hosting the linkup -

2017 Big Book Summer Challenge
I still need to read my first book by Nalini! Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteYou're reading some great summer books!
ReplyDeleteI love the Anne series. My reviewer Susan that the Forever Summer was really good.
ReplyDeleteI was reading too fast and thought you said Anne of Avonlea was set in Russia. That's not how I remember it... Then I figured out that I had the commentary for the wrong book :-) Looks like a great reading week for you.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great week Kathryn. I'm just putting to bed all my September reviews and hopefully before I have to open the first page of October's I'll be able to get a few personal reads in. Fingers Crossed!
ReplyDeleteI really need to read more from my own books. I haven't been very good about it but I'm continuing to acquire them so the stacks are getting a little overwhelming. Joshilyn Jackson is on my TBR. I've heard fantastic things about her books and my library has a ton of them so it's really just a matter of actually reading one though of course then I wouldn't be reading my own books. Too many choices!!! The Susan Mallery looks very good. I burned out a little on her Fool's Gold series but I'd love to try one of her other books.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading "Shriver" by Chris Belden. It's a witty academic satire!
