This week has been warm and humid and it doesn't make for walking. I got out though most days around 8 or 9 am before it heated up too much, although the sun had heat in it even then.
Saturday: Was a rest day and got very few steps in!
Sunday through Friday I walked 40 to 45 minutes a day. Some days I reached my goal for steps and some days a little more or a little less. I find I have to do some walking somewhere later in the day - like the beach or the shops to get it up there.
So long as I get about 5000 steps though into the next two days I will meet my weekly goal of
52 500 in a week. A good week.
Great job, Kathryn! When our weather is hot and humid I try to get outside as soon as the sun comes up (I'm an early riser). Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteVery wise, I am a reasonably early riser, and I try to get out there between 8 am and 9!
DeleteGood luck getting your steps in. It is difficult when it is very hot out or too cold.
ReplyDeleteTrouble is Pat its either one or the other! So I guess just gotta do it!
DeleteLast summer when it was warm for once I had to go out after 10 PM, those 11 PM walks were the best. I am am sure it's still SO much hotter where you are
ReplyDeleteI am a sook, actually we have a mild climate but still can be humid. I think I'll forgo late night walks though!
DeleteI am sure you will meet your goal. Before I got sick, I was getting up and moving during commercials to get those last few steps counted at the end of the day!
ReplyDeleteActually Nise that's a good tip, I need to do a bit of that!
DeleteCongrats...I cannot wait for warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I hope you meet your goals! Good for you for braving the hot weather and walking anyway. We haven't had a hot summer like that in a couple of years. Yesterday we had a "warmer" day for winter and some of the snow started to melt.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to exercise very much this week. I wish I could find a nice place to walk indoors this winter instead of relying on aerobics DVDs. I do take the stairs at work instead of the elevator but that isn't much :)
