Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading? While this meme is not fully active at present I will be linking up as well to the Sunday Post at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I had an interesting week this week, I spent two hours on Thursday at a Playcentre, one form of pre school education in New Zealand. I was watching my 2 year old gran niece as her mother was doing some training for the Playcentre. Was I exhausted after two hours - you bet, but it was fun.
On Saturday I went into Wellington and visited the War Memorial Park and a display about WW1 that Peter Jackson and the Weta Workshop had put together. It was worth the visit. As you walked through, you walked through in time, starting with Belgium and at the end walking off a gang plank off the ship home!
The pillars of red rock are in honour of the Australian part of the ANZAC alliance.
What I read last week:
What I am reading at present:
Still listening to: The Summer Girls by Mary Alice Monroe
Reading: Going Off Script by Giuliana Rancic and Up at Butternut Creek by Mary McNear
Up next:
Mostly Magic by Donna June Cooper
Remember When J. D. Robb
Posts from the last week:
- What I Remember Most by Cathy Lamb
- Hide Your Heart by Tracey Alvarez
- Month in Review April 2015
Oh, that museum trip looks really cool! I love to visit historical exhibitions!
ReplyDeleteI've read and enjoyed Firefly Beach, so have fun with that one. I've been thinking of picking up an Anne Bishop, based on Kimba's enthusiasm for her books. My youngest daughter really likes Giuliana Rancic, from a tv show that she follows. Unfortunately she's not a pleasure reader, but I could offer to read it and tell her about it :) Or not... I do have so many books waiting to be picked up. Hope you like it though and have a great week.
I am a channel grazer of E! I watch mainly to see Giuliana!
DeleteThe Peter Jackson display looks impressive and nice to see a pic of you (I assume!) there as well!
ReplyDeleteDeb
Yes that's me Deb. Carrying my jacket, thought it was going to be cold, instead warm.
