Shelf Love Challenge 2016

This year’s hosts are the lovely gals over at ChapterBreak.net, Brandee from Bookworm Brandee and Second Run Reviews.
Read the full set of rules over at Second Run Reviews.
Goal:
21-30 books: give your shelves a warm friendly hug
There are also a set of discussion posts for each month which can be participated in so might give them a whirl!

December 2015/January 2016:

I’m joining in the #ShelfLove Challenge 2016! Goal is to move 30 of my books. This includes actual books on the shelves plus my Kindle. I have no idea how many TBR are on my Kindle but quite a few. I will try to include a few of those as well. I won't be counting audiobooks as I usually buy and read pretty much immediately.

Will you be going on an all out book buying ban or are you setting a budget?
I am a budgeting person so I budget a certain amount for books each fortnight. Books are important to me, so while I don't splurge neither do I fast from buying them! I set $20 a fortnight aside for books and at the moment I have $328 in the kitty.

So even though I have heaps of books to read sure I'll buy more. I'm also doing a Read the Books You Buy challenge to cover some of the books bought mainly in 2016.

It will be interesting to see if my TBR pile is any smaller by the end of 2016. Some I may no longer be interested in reading and they may go out to the fundraising Book Fair. Of course I'll buy some new and some from the Book Fair.

  5. I always think another's bookshelf is so much more interesting and fun to browse through than one own's.
