Top Book for April

I think a well narrated audio always tips a book up just that much more and that's what happened with this one. This is the follow up book to The Cafe by the Sea. Now I am hoping for a third!

Looking Forward to reading in May...

This is a series that Emilie Richards is publishing herself. This is an updated version of an earlier one. The first two are being republished after being updated and given totally new gorgeous covers. The third one is a totally new book. I haven't read them previously and am really ready to read.

E Books Purchased:
I saw a book by Mary Campisi on another blog and I realised I had bought the first one in this series... in ahem 2011 and its not read yet! I think it might have been free. But... this year for sure and on the hope of a good book I bought Book 2. If its good it is a long series!

I heard about this book on the Oprah Sunday Soul podcast, Oprah interviewed Timothy Shriver so forgetting I had put in a request at the library one evening I bought it. Then the very next day the library informed me it was waiting for me!! I'll read the library version but if I don't finish it in the time given then I have back up.

Library Books:
Hope to fit it in! It is the first in her Baltimore books and as her most recent is a Baltimore addition I need to read the previous ones because for sure they'll be linked. It's my dabble into crime and suspense! Just a little taste.  And of course the Timothy Shriver book fits in here as well as I have the library copy as well!

Books coming from NetGalley or Edelweiss

Well this shelf looks very healthy! Looks like down the track it will give me time to read some TBR books! I've already read and written my review for the Jill Mansell  and Graeme Simsion books.

    1. How're you doing, Kathryn? I'm glad you have a big family who all pitches in to help and to have one another to support.
Thank you about my girl. She's a good one. I'm thinkin' maybe she got all of that "wildness" out as a toddler and elementary student as she's had some lessons learned.

    2. Oh and I forgot to add how I like you don't bring expectations when reading a fresh, new romance novel. I can't help it but do. I think it's because fantasy is pretty much free in creativity that I love how I am surprised at how a world is set up and what magic is going on.

  2. Yes! A well narrated book sure tips the balance. I have had a LOT of 4s since starting audio

  3. I thought for sure I would have a low reading month as I was crazy busy packing - but thank goodness for audio books! They helped keep me sane while packing ;)

  7. Looks like a nice mix of reads! The Colgan books look good with those awesome, cozy covers, and I love it when books have bookstore in the title or on the cover. The Lost for Words Bookshop looks fun!

  11. I agree on a well narrated audio. I've really loved Ruth Ware's first 2 books and I think part of that is because I love the narrator so much. I need to get Endless Beach. I loved Café by the Sea. I have to look for it on audio. Happy reading in May!

  16. It was a slow reading month for me as well. Working on my wrap up post. Hope May is full of reading for us both.

  17. I set a new record for April - 14 books for me! You know, I have never read anything by Jane Austen.

I know you didn't read as much as you usually do, but you still had a good month! The Karen Rose book sounds good.

    Happy May!

  18. Funny, I would consider 8 books in one month quite an accomplishment! Looks like a nice variety you read.

I'm interested in the Timothy Shriver book...and plan to look into the Sunday Soul podcast, too - thanks for the tip!
