It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
Welcome in everyone. Hope you had a good reading week and those high summer temps in the US are being managed. We had wet but not too cold winter weather here.
I got a bit of everything done this week plus out for lunch and also a 2yr old birthday party!! And I visited joiners/carpenters place to discuss building a bookcase/entertainment centre. It will be ages before its done because house building is in such a boom. But at least I have initiated, the next step is to hear back with a quote. Small progress!
What I read last week:
Review book, with review to be posted.
Review book.
What I am reading at present:
Still listening to The Bookshop at Water's End.
Reading a review book...romantic suspense....
Up next:
Books from my own shelf including Fatal Threat which publishes this week.
Ooh, a new bookcase/entertainment center? How fun...I hope you post pics whenever it's done!
ReplyDeleteYour bookcase/entertainment center sound really good. Enjoy the process!
ReplyDeleteI am eager to read Seeing Red. I like the sound of the Debbie Macomber book, too.
Enjoy your week!
I too need some light reading. Too many murders and gory happenings.
ReplyDeleteGood to know housing building is active. Hope you enjoy your lighter reading. Always good to read from your own shelves. Hope your weather stays reasonable and Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't been too hot here , a bit humid, but I know a lot of other locations in the US are getting it worse than us. Good luck with the bookshelves, and glad it was a nice week. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope The Bookshop at Water's edge is a good one!
Glad you had a good week. I bet the bookshelves will be worth the wait. A two year old's party sounds fun,my great niece will be two Nov. 1st.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting.
I hadn't heard that Debbie Macomber had a new book out! I've read the first two books in her "A Good Yarn" series.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the Caribbean, not the US, and the heat is mad. Send some of that winter cool our way. I have a picture book (With Grace); I have to check out Jen and Kellee's posts.
ReplyDeleteWe spent most of today at a two year old's birthday party. It was a nice break from the move.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear about the weather. I'm curious about Fatal Threat. I've heard great things about the author. I hope you enjoy it. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week. I hope your week full of amazing reads. Happy reading. :-)
Wow! You had an active week! I added Any Dream will do to my wish list on paperbackswap. I'm so grateful for your link up because it's helping me to read more! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe heat. The heat is so mean! lol Thank goodness for air conditioning!
ReplyDeleteSawbones looks very interesting. Looking forward to your review on that one :)
It's been hot here too, but it always is in the summer in AZ. I hope you get your quote soon and enjoy your book! I'll have to check out Any Dream Will Do as I really like her. :)

Hope you enjoy reading off your shelf this week - it's lovely to have lots and lots to choose from! Sometimes I find it hard to make decisions though!
ReplyDeleteGlad it isn't too cold your side. I think we're through thte worst of our winter (well, I hope so!) and there's been some sunshine and outside opportunities so that's been great, especially where kids are concerned!
ReplyDeleteYour bookcase/entertainment centre sounds exciting! I hope it comes along faster than you think.
Have a great week!
Happy reading this week :D
ReplyDeleteOoh Sawbones look good! Bookcase/Entertainment centre - isn't that like the same thing??!!
ReplyDeleteHappy reading Kathryn!
Bring on the Blessings looks like a good counterweight to Sawbones! Hope it turns out to be a good read.

That's awesome! We've been thinking about asking for a quote for bookcases, too. It sure would be nice to have some big built ins. I hope it goes well for you!
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING the summer temperatures here. I have been able to read outside on my back porch. :)
ReplyDeleteMy dad built me two beautiful book cases. I wish I would have had him build me two for the sides of my fireplace. Too late now. :(
I love Sandra Brown's books. I got a few at the library book sale last week.
ENJOY your week, Kathryn. Stay warm...we will be experiencing the chill here not too long from now.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
How exciting at the thought of building a bookcase! I've been seeing Sawbones on a lot of blogs. Sounds intense. I agree that it's good to read a feel-good book after a heavier dramatic one.
ReplyDeleteSaturday was rainy, which we needed, and yesterday was hot but breezy. I sat in the shade with a book, and it was wonderful. Good luck on your bookcase, and I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAll those books look so good. I have been wanting to start the Marie Force series for a long time. I will eventually. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteJust the title and cover have me interested in Sawbones!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good week Kathryn, sip your hot cocoa and sit by the fire while we roast here in the middle of America :) LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Deborah Cooke's Addicted to Love. FAB!!
Dropped 10 degrees here from high 90's to "only" high 80's so getting better - thanks for thinking of us!
ReplyDeleteTwo is such a fun age!
Good for you for getting started on the home improvement stuff - we have so much that needs to be done around here!! Overwhelming.
Enjoy your books this week -

2017 Big Book Summer Challenge
I like Debbie Macomber's Christmas books but I haven't read many of her other books. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a busy week! Hope it doesn't take too long on the book case - cool that you're having one custom built :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
Oooh! Great set of books you got there! I really need to read a Debbie Macomber book!
ReplyDeleteOoh, the new Debbie Macomber. Hope it's a good read. Very exciting to get the ball rolling with the bookcase. Hope the estimate is good and it gets started soon!
ReplyDeleteOOO a new Debbie Macomber!
ReplyDeleteI'm boiling up here so I'm envying your wet but not too cool week! That sounds like heaven! The Debbie Macomber is tempting me and I'm really excited to see you're reading a Marie Force book. I've been wanting to read her forever so I'll be excited to see what you think of this one. Fingers crossed on the estimate for the bookcase! Have a great week!
