It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Over the last week I participated in Armchair Bea and enjoyed the scurry around lots of  blogs to visit.  I will need to go back over some of the posts at leisure though!  I won an ebook that I chose from a list, In Her Dreams by Katherine Givens.

This week sees the new Psy/Changeling book published by Nalini Singh - Shield of Winter.  I will be down at the bookshop, the day it is released!  It will be actually the first one of hers that I buy, as I read like a maniac right through all the books from the library last year when I became addicted to the series.

We have a long weekend in New Zealand - Queen's Birthday - not her actual date, but when we celebrate it.  The weather has been wonderful, at freezing point in the morning, but long sunny days with no wind. Just beautiful winter days.

Books I read this past week.
Really liked it.

Really liked this one too.

At present I am reading:
I've just started The Beekeeper's Ball by Susan Wiggs, her follow up to The Apple Orchard.

Next up:
Well I hope to read  Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh, all going well.  If not then next up will probably be No River Too Wide by Emilie Richards which I want to read as well.  June is such a great month for books, I know they are aimed at the summer folk up north, but they suit the winter fire as well!

  1. I liked No River Too Wide and I want to read The Beekeeper's Ball and The Apple Orchard. The Glass Kitchen sounds really good too. Reminds me of Sarah Addison Allen's books.

I agree that it is nice to read summer books in the winter. I certainly did. I am glad that here in the States summer is finally here!

  3. I saw the cover for 'Shield of Winter' on a different blog and it looked beautiful! You still got some reading done last week, whereas I just got swept up in Amrchair BEA craziness! I also just need to go through all the links again because there were just too many posts! I hope you enjoy your reading and holiday!

  7. Good Night June is one of the books I got at BEA last week and I can't wait to start it, as Sarah Jio is one of my favorite authors. Enjoy your books--Susan Wiggs is always a good read.

  10. Yay for a long weekend, not that we have any plans but still nice. Wasn't there just so much to love in Goodnight June. I'll keep an eye out for your review of The Glass Kitchen, I think it's one I'd enjoy. I also need to get caught up on Psy Changeling series, need more hours in the day but I've got No River Too Wide up next too ... love this series of hers.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading :)

  11. I actually thought I would take a month and not read any new releases to catch up on "older" books that I've been wanting to read, but just can't do it. Goodnight June and The Beekeeper's Ball are two of the reasons why I know I would fail. Have a great week.
