Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
Yesterday I went to visit my niece Sonia's art exhibition in our local Art's Trail. I love her art and love her delightful just turned one year old son even more.
Earlier in the week I was delighted to receive an email from Bobbi Dumas over at Read a Romance Month who informed me I had won an international giveaway for a trilogy by Molly O'Keefe. I haven't read this author, but have her on my hit list, so of course was delighted, and I look forward to their arrival. I thank both Bobbi and Molly.
I would also like to point you towards Sherryl Caulfield's giveaway of Come What May. She is another one of those amazing Australian authors I have discovered this year. She is giving away some copies of her book and it is open internationally. I highly recommend her book and her earlier book, Seldom Come By that I have just reviewed this last week.
What I read in the last week:
Enjoyed this one and want to get on with reading this series.
Sweet Romance. O'Neill brothers.
At Present I am reading:
I abandoned an anthology I started to read, found the first story 'boring' to say the least. So I discontinued and moved onto The Good Wife by Jane Porter. Book 3 in the Brennan sisters series. Loving it! It picked up right after the end of the second book - so one happy reader.
Up next:
I think it might be The Proposal by Mary Balogh.
Looks like a great exhibition! And the Caulfield books look good- I saw those over Eclectic too and was intrigued. Glad to hear the first one was good.
ReplyDeleteYes I did enjoy the art, and yes, Sherryl Caulfield's book was fantastic.
DeleteOops. My comment must have gotten eaten. I love the JD Robb series. They're my 'go-to' comfort novels.
ReplyDeleteI am very much into comfort reading! I don't read too challenging!
DeleteI love JD Robb series. I am hoping to start to read that series again as it has been years since I read them. Sarah Morgan looks like a author I would like.
ReplyDeleteI think I must reread some series, then I go to pick one up, then I look at all on my TBR shelf and I put the reread down! If you like light, family type romance you would like Sarah Morgan.
DeleteI really enjoy the JD Robb series even if I only get to two or so a year. The Sarah Morgan looks like one I would like and I love Balogh. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI think Martha we have intersecting tastes, although you get a lot more reading in than me!
DeleteI love the look of that art! I have the first two books in Porter's series but haven't had a chane to read them yet!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Shelleyrae @ Book'd Out
Shelleyrae I really love this series - some people have adverse reactions to the theme of infidelity but I like the way it is explored.
DeleteI am glad to see I am not the only one who starts a book only to realize that I can't continue. I actually just did that last week.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great week for you. CONGRATS on your win. I haven't read Molly O'Keefe either.
The baby is adorable. Art is quite good too.
ENJOY this reading week, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
Yes, noticed you didn't continue one, I guess it happens occasionally and really that is a great ratio! Yes I was delighted with the win!
DeleteThat art is beautiful!!! I still need to catch up on Sarah Morgan's trilogy - I only read the 1st book and have the 2nd and 3rd to still read. I read all three books in Jane Porter's Brennan Sister's series and really enjoyed them! I just read on twitter the other day that there's going to be a 4th book...I can't wait!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Thank you Kristin - I was so hoping, and looked everywhere last night to see if I could find a hint of hit. So happy!
DeleteIt looks like you've had a great week. The art exhibit looks great and the baby is adorable. Congratulations on your win. Enjoy all of your books.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat. :) Love wins!
DeleteCongrats on winning the books--how fun! I have Seldom Come By and I feel badly that I haven't gotten to it yet. I must pick it up this month for sure since you and Sheree loved i!
ReplyDeleteI just adore your niece's works from the bit I can see in the above photos. I can't pretend I have enough money to purchase one, but do you have a website address for her art that you can share so I can take a better peek at it? Just love that flower one and the one with the bench by the water--wonderful!
Rita, I can assure you of a good read with Seldom Come By but no guilt - when you read it has to be the perfect time for you! My niece's website is http://www.soniasavageart.com/ might take a little time for the pages to load, found it did for me. I have a number of her paintings - because I like to support her! However the one I find most adorable is her baby son!
DeleteAn enjoyable week and some good reads as well
ReplyDeleteWow your niece's artwork looks gorgeous! So colorful. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe this Christmas looks good, and perfect for my current reading needs. I will have to add it! :)
Gorgeous art work...and baby! Thanks for sharing...and I love the cover on the J. D. Robb book, which reminds me that I want to pick up where I left off in that series.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog...have a great week!
As much as I love Nora Roberts and I have read a few books in her In Death series, it's not my favprite. I prefer her romance over her suspense. I hope you enjoy The Good Wife. Maybe it will be better than the anthology you read previously!
ReplyDeleteActually I prefer her romance over her suspense, but I still enjoy most of her suspense - not all though!
