It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 29th August

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Last Monday in August. There is a definite Spring feel here, I guess we will see a few more winter blasts but the vegie garden has been dug over in anticipation of planting in about a months time.

  2. Is it getting springish there? Yay for good weather. We're still warm and muggy here but in about a month or so we're going to get those chill breezes. :)

    Have a great week ahead!

  3. I just started Leave Me, and I'm very frustrated by her family already. I can tell this will be a page turner.

    Enjoy your week!

  4. Leave Me sounds like a nice young adult novel. Although I have to agree with Laurel, her family appears to be very frustrating. Have a nice week!

  6. Did I ask you this before... Is Apprentice in Death the upcoming book? I'm sure I've requested it but not received it yet... *taps fingers impatiently*

I've got Leave Me too so glad you're enjoying it.

We didn't have much of a winter here this year, so it seems a bit of an anticlimax to be heading into spring!

  7. I'm sure it's a sign of something that I still get a frisson when I see a new J.D. Robb book, even though I haven't read any of her books since Origin in Death. Happy reading!

  10. I have Leave Me on my agenda to read - glad to hear you're enjoying it! I love JD Robbs in Death series - but I'm way behind... Like 30 books behind! LOL! Happy reading!

  11. Yay to spring being on its way, I can't wait for some warmer weather. I am going to check back to see your thoughts on The Joyce Girl as it looks like my type of read. I have read a couple of Gayle Forman's books so I think I will have to check out Leave Me. It seems to be getting positive buzz. Happy reading and have a lovely week!

  12. I enjoyed If I Stay by Gayle Forman. I've seen Leave Me on other blogs. I hope you enjoy it. I just noticed the first leaves on the grass this morning - a hint of Fall.

  19. I'll be interested to hear what you thought of the Gayle Forman book. I've read one of hers--If I Stay--and didn't like it...but so many other people love her books that I might be willing to give her another try.

  20. Am still working on Book 6 of DARK TOWER series by Stephen King. It is wet and warm in our little corner of Texas--like walking out the door into a sauna. I am ready for some sunshine!

  21. While I love Nora Roberts I haven't really read any of her JD Robb books and I'd like to fix that. I also really need to read that Sarah Morgan series. I really want to read the 3rd but I need to read the first 2 first. It's maddening! Have a great week!

  22. Ah Spring - how nice. We still have hot humidity... and threats of storms.
Leave Me looks interesting. Wow Book #43 for the In Death series. Not sure I will ever get there. I do expect to listen to one more for my TBR this year and line up a couple for next year.
    Happy Reading!

  23. I can't imagine a Spring feel as the 'feels like' temp, after the sun goes down, is 117 and dripping with humidity. Enjoy your weather!

  24. I'm a big JD Robb fan, and I've got a Nora Roberts on my reading shelf now. Hope I like her contemporaries as much as I do her police books.
