It's Monday! What Are You Reading? 14th August.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Hope this finds you all well and reading when you can! We had a very wet week ( and now I really realise that saying "like a wet week". We had patches of sunlight, but a week of rain and looks like heading into the same. Everything is sodden and my walking and weeding both suffered. My reading didn't really benefit as I was sewing quite a bit!     However what I read I enjoyed.

What I read last week:

What I am reading at present:

And still listening to Sister's Choice,  by Emilie Richards as at time of writing have about 4 hours left on it, so should finish this week.  Enjoying this reread, surprising what I had forgotten.

  2. A week of rain sounds good to me...but I'm sure my tune would change if it actually was raining here! Ha! I'm glad you at least had a chance to get some sewing done!

  7. Sorry you are sodden. We tend to get afternoon showers during the summer but not continuing rain. I'm looking forward to your thoughts on Devil's Cut.
Hope you are enjoying your sewing and reading!

  8. Here's hoping for more sunlight and less rain for you this week! It's been mild here this week, which is kind of unusual for August- we're usually hot and humid this time of year. I've heard the humidity is coming back though...

    Have a super week!

  11. What is it with all this rain everywhere...I suppose at least it's winter for you so maybe somewhat expected?

  12. The thing I hate most about having rain for an entire week is that everything seems to get so dirty; I have two dogs and they track in everything - ha! I hope it dries out soon, Kathryn, and that you have a great week ahead! Thanks so much for hosting the link up!

  14. I've heard good things about Ward's The Bourban Kings series. I have only read her BDB series. We could use some of that rain here! It's been a pretty dry summer. Hope you have a great week!

  15. We had a very wet weekend and it looks like they are predicting rain clear into next week for us here. Hopefully they are wrong, I would really like to see the sun again. Between Sisters looks really god, I'm going to have to check it out. Have a great week and happy reading!

  18. Kathryn I devoured Devi's Cut the minute it came out on audible. I also reviewed No Place I'd Rather Be for RT Magazine. I really enjoyed it.
Right now I'm finishing up Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom for my in-person book club tonight!

  21. Something Like Happy is coming up on my list and I'm really looking forward to it! The JR Ward series is tempting me too. They keep threatening us with a wet week but it keeps not happening. Sounds like it's just hanging out with you! Have a great week!

  23. We had a sort of wet week last week, but what's killing me is they keep forecasting no rain and then I go out to do my day and it's rainy! If only they could get that part right! So far this week isn't too rainy though :) Have a great week and happy reading!
