It's Monday! What Are You Reading/ 28th Aug

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

I hope everyone had a great week and those who were able to view the eclipse in the U.S. had a perfect experience. I had a week of no rain which was fantastic let me tell you! It felt warmer and I got outside and began clearing back weeds and even starting digging in a little winter crop into the vegie garden. Of course I had time for reading and sewing too!

What I read last week:

I finished reading The Summer That Made Us
book cover
and also read The Girl From Munich
book cover

What I am reading at present:

I bought this book as I wanted to try the series, not too sure at this point, its fun but a little quiet! I'll persevere a little while longer.

And still listening to Clean Sweep

  3. Good job on taking advantage of the week without rain! We're in a drought here (again), so we would love some of that!

  10. Great on your weather.

We are rather chilly here for August, but it is good for back to school. We usually would sweat to death by the afternoon.

Nice book week for you too...have a wonderful last week of August. Can't believe it.

  11. All of your rain has apparently ended up here, in our Gulf of Mexico visitor, Hurricane Harvey. Lol. We'll get through this. We always have.

  12. Yay for no rain for you! For me, we need rain because it's been such a dry summer but the upside of that is no mosquitoes!

I love seeing the Christmas books! Hope you enjoy!

  17. Sounds like you had a lovely week - glad your weather was so nice! Ours was good here, too - we seem to be finally past the horrid heat & humidity. Our windows are open again!

My mother-in-law used to love Jan Karon & the Mitford series. Hope you are enjoying it, too!

  22. I have an ARC of the newest Jan Karon book and I'm curious about it. It's a series I've heard so much about but have never read. I love the cover of The Christmas Room. I'm not quite sure I'm ready to be reading Christmas books but when I am that will be on my list (pending your review of course!) Have a great week!
