It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week. It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!
I hope everyone had a great week and those who were able to view the eclipse in the U.S. had a perfect experience. I had a week of no rain which was fantastic let me tell you! It felt warmer and I got outside and began clearing back weeds and even starting digging in a little winter crop into the vegie garden. Of course I had time for reading and sewing too!
What I read last week:
I finished reading The Summer That Made Us
and also read The Girl From MunichWhat I am reading at present:
I bought this book as I wanted to try the series, not too sure at this point, its fun but a little quiet! I'll persevere a little while longer.
Glad it was a week with no rain and you got outside. I need to read more Robyn Carr's books.
ReplyDeleteWe took a road trip to Wyoming to see the eclipse. You can see the eclipse photos on my Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/pussreboots/albums/72157685479200143
ReplyDeleteGood job on taking advantage of the week without rain! We're in a drought here (again), so we would love some of that!
ReplyDeleteYou've had a great reading week. I'm eager to read the newest Robyn Carr book. Glad you are getting in some gardening.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
The Girl From Munich sounds like my kind of book. Have a great reading week!
ReplyDeleteOh you're reading a Christmas book! I want to too. I can't believe Christmas is around the corner. With the way time has gone, I think Christmas will come faster. I hope you enjoy them. Have a wonderful week. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed The Summer that Made Us and I've requested At Home in Mitford. All your books sound good this week.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading this week! :)
ReplyDeleteYay for nice weather! Glad you got a little winter veg in. :)
ReplyDeleteThe christmas Room puts me in the mood for Christmas!
Sunshine and reading = perfect combo!
ReplyDeleteGreat on your weather.
ReplyDeleteWe are rather chilly here for August, but it is good for back to school. We usually would sweat to death by the afternoon.
Nice book week for you too...have a wonderful last week of August. Can't believe it.
Elizabeth
All of your rain has apparently ended up here, in our Gulf of Mexico visitor, Hurricane Harvey. Lol. We'll get through this. We always have.

Yay for no rain for you! For me, we need rain because it's been such a dry summer but the upside of that is no mosquitoes!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the Christmas books! Hope you enjoy!
Oh no! It it time for Christmas books already? I love them and love the season but it seems like I just got done with Christmas. :) I love seeing Robyn Carr's book on your list. It's a reminder to me that I really need to read her. Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI have The Summer That Made Us. It looks so good. The Christmas Room looks good too, but I'm not ready for Christmas books. LOL Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I'm ready for Christmas books yet, though I noticed a few on Netgalley that I would like to read.
ReplyDeleteThe eclipse was a lot of fun. Yay for having a no rain week! I could use one of those right now.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lovely week - glad your weather was so nice! Ours was good here, too - we seem to be finally past the horrid heat & humidity. Our windows are open again!
ReplyDeleteMy mother-in-law used to love Jan Karon & the Mitford series. Hope you are enjoying it, too!

Book By Book
Hi Kathryn,
ReplyDeleteGreat read this week. I've put The Girl From Munich on my TBR list. Have a great day!
I'm starting The Christmas Room next. Hope we both love it!
ReplyDeleteI think you have to be in a quiet mood to read the Mitford books. I read them years ago and loved them.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas Room has such a cute cover!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading one of my older books, The Hero-- Thunder Point #3-- by Robyn Carr, so I look forward to this one you read also.
I have an ARC of the newest Jan Karon book and I'm curious about it. It's a series I've heard so much about but have never read. I love the cover of The Christmas Room. I'm not quite sure I'm ready to be reading Christmas books but when I am that will be on my list (pending your review of course!) Have a great week!
