It's Monday! What Am I Reading?

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Sadly on Friday morning my Dad passed away quietly, he just did not recover from the broken hip as there were other complications. So at the moment I am involved with family as we both grieve and celebrate a great life of 93 years.

I did get a couple of books read early in the week but will share next week. Take care - enjoy your reading and will re-connect with you next Monday.

  21. Oh, Kathryn...I'm so very sorry to hear about your Dad. It's great that he lived such a long life, but it is still hard to lose someone you love. I hope that memories of a lifetime of good times spent together will help you during this difficult time.

I lost my dad two years ago (he was just 70), so I know how tough this can be. I'm thinking of you -

  22. Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry... But hey, I'm glad he got to live such a long life. I'm sure he left a lot of great legacy behind, not everyone can boast 93 years. I hope he can remain in your memory as he was at his peak years.
