It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

This week was mixed as on Wednesday my 93 year old Dad fell and broke his hip, so far so good in recovery, however still a long way to go. We are a large family and everyone arrived from around over the weekend to visit him in hospital.

However I did get some reading done at the beginning of the week and towards the end of the weekend.  But I was somewhat absent around the blogging world.

Thinking of all those affected by earthquake in Mexico and the hurricanes in the south of USA. I hear Irma's path is a little unpredictable, so hope you all stay safe if in that area.

What I read last week:

Finished listening to...                                            and read....

  9. I hope your dad isn't in too much pain. Recovering from a break at that age is so tough, but I'm glad to hear that there is a lot of family to help!

I love the cover for Sugar Pine Trail. It's very picturesque!

Have a good week, and healing thoughts for your dad's speedy recovery!

  13. I do hope your dad's recovery continues well. I know it can be distressing with an elderly parent. I am curious about A Second Helping. Glad you will get to enjoy a Thayne novel. Happy Reading!

  14. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's fall but glad the recovery is going well. It's nice to have such a big family for him to visit with! I haven't read Iron Lace but I read kind of a sequel and absolutely loved it (or maybe I read Iron Lace - it's been awhile. But if I did I loved that one too). I love the cover on your copy. I have The Sugar Pine Trail coming up and am so excited. I need a good RaeAnne Thayne about now! Have a great week!

  15. Oh, Kathryn, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's fall! Glad he is OK and has so much loving support. My father-in-law is 92, so I understand how scary any kind of accident can be at that age. I hope he recovers well and quickly.

Enjoy your books this week - hope you get more reading time!
