It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Hope this all finds you well and enjoying your reading.

Well there is a definite autumnal feel to the air this week, another of my brothers was out fishing today and commented that the sea temperature had dropped 6 degrees from last weekend.  I must say I am relishing the cooler nights.

What I read last week:

I enjoyed the latest update to the J. R. Ward series, thanks to the library and I enjoyed the review book Mornings on Main because I discovered it had a considerable quilting aspect to it, plus of course Jodi Thomas always writes well.

What I am reading at present:

On a whim I picked this off the library shelf when I was picking up another book, about a third of the way through it. I love that it has the next generation from her great Wallflowers series. I loved that series so it had already won me over that Devil in Spring  is linked to that series.  Of course if you are not a romance reader that will all just pass you by!!

I am still listening to The Denim Blue Sea by Joanne DeMaio and have made very good inroads into it, should finish it up in the next week.  As I have given more time to it I have really started to care about he characters and cross my  fingers for their happiness.

Up next:

I have learned that Australian Natasha Lester writes a really good historical fiction novel so looking forward to this one.  And... it will be out later in the year in the USA with a different cover though. (2nd cover) Watch out for it!

  21. I love the cover of Paris Seamstress! I have Devil in Spring on my TBR along with the rest of the new series. I can't believe how long it's taken me to read it! I've been missing romance and women's fiction lately Most of my reading has been mysteries though I did get a Susan Mallery listened to the other day. Made me realize how much I missed it! Hope you're having a great week!
