Its Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

Hope you all had a good reading week. I got some books read, watched some TV - I have at last got into watching Grace and Frankie on Netflix and have got back to watching my DVD's of The West Wing.

What I read last week:

Two light reads this week and one heavier one that I almost couldn't keep reading because of the issues involved but it was well written and I kept going.  The first two will have reviews posted, The Thing About Love  was a light romantic suspense and a library book

  1. I've got a big stack of library books as my holds always come in at the same time! I had to quit listening to a book this week because of it's subject matter. Will try again at another time. Have a great week.

  4. That seems to happen with library books sometimes- you wait and wait and then there's a flood!

  5. I have been reading rather heavy reads. I really need to switch to something light.

  6. The Julie James book looks really good. So does the Robyn Carr book. I used to love The West Wing. Grace and Frankie is a Netflix addiction for me. Great show. Hope you like it too. Have a great week!

  8. I like a mix of light and heavy reading. I tend to like the heavier reading more, but it always has to be balanced by a bit of light.

    Have a great reading week!

  9. Did Before I Let You Go have the issues?

Looks like a good week for you.

We are to have a warm temperature today but then it is going to rain the rest of the week.

Have a marvelous reading and everything else week, Kathryn. :)

  11. That Kelly Rimmer book was too heavy for me - was that the one that was rough for you? I ended up DNFing it. :( I loved the Robyn Carr book!

    Have a great week!

  12. I just started Before I Let You Go last night. Now you've made me a little nervous. I'm liking it so far but I haven't read much of it yet. Have a great week and happy reading.

  14. I can relate with the library books all arriving at the same time! I have more than enough dusty books on my bookcases to read, but I still can't seem to resist requesting library books :)

Before I Let You Go looks interesting. Have a great week!

  15. It can be hard to read books about difficult topics...though they usually end up being worthwhile.

Grace & Frankie is a lot of fun - glad you are enjoying it!

Enjoy your books this week -

  16. Kudos to you on plowing through a heavy read. My books have been coming in too. I haven't been with my book club for a few months now. I hope to rejoin them in April and checked out the memoir that's scheduled for that meeting. I hope I can get through it.

  20. I love Grace and Frankie and West Wing, which I've watched end-to-end at least three times. If you like podcasts, the West Wing Weekly is lots of fun to listen to along the way.

  22. I used to love The West Wing! I haven't watched in awhile but it was always a lot of fun. Julie James is high up on my TBR. I've heard amazing things and I love the suspense angle. I've got Family Gathering coming up on my list. I've had pretty good luck with Carr's previous books so my hopes are high. Hope you're having a great week!
