It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

As I write this (Friday evening) I am packing to leave for Rotorua. My sister is now in a coma and I am not sure she will still be with us when I get up there tomorrow.  Two of my other sisters are up there and another two are on their way. I had to take my other sister to a hospital appointment so couldn't go with them but will leave early with a brother - in - law.

What I read last week:

I did finish this book...
It was very unflattering towards the Kennedy's. Review will follow at some point.

What I am reading at present:

I am reading this at present, may go on the back burner now for a little while but I guess there will be moments to escape into a book.

  9. Oh, Kathryn, I'm so very sorry to hear that this time has come. It's so wonderful that you were able to get up to visit your sister recently while she was still aware of your presence.

I will be thinking of you this week, during this difficult time for you and your family.

  19. What a scary situation. Best wishes for your entire family. Mary Balogh seems like a good choice for some comfort reading if you have to wait somewhere.
