Its Monday! What Are You Reading?

Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Well, it seems a long time ago since last Monday.  I really enjoyed being part of the first book of the year.  So let me think what I read through the week.

I finished listening to:Angels' Blood
Found this a little difficult to listen to as I dream off while listening sometimes and I couldn't afford to do that with a complex world building beginning to a series.

I read:
Because of You the first in the Coming Home series.  I also read two novellas from this series as well.
At present
I am reading a graphic novel - spurred on by The Eclectic Reading Challenge!
The Exile by Diana Gabaldon.

Next up:
A book by Rachael Johns - Outback Dreams
The Luminaries by Eleanor Caton - again The Eclectic Reader Challenge has encouraged me to try this one - a little anxious about it!  I thought it a good week to start it as I am taking part in the Bout o' Books week.

Extra! Extra!  Just noticed Barbara Claypole White is giving about US and International copy of The In-Between Hour, over on Facebook do enter if you haven't read it. I loved it.  Closes January 9th.

  1. It looks like you had a very successful week. I have read Angels' Blood and Archangel's Kiss and have the audiobooks too. I haven't listened yet. I can see where you would need to pay close attention to the world building. You can see my plans for the week here. Have a great week!

  4. I find really complex stories easier to follow when reading rather than listening. Enjoy Outback Dreams. I'm looking forward to The Inbetween Hour, looking forward to your review of that one :)
Have a great week and happy reading!

  6. I'm intrigued about Luminaries. But its length is daunting for me.

  7. I don't think I'd do well on audio...I am easily distracted. Reading keeps me focused (most of the time! lol).

Enjoy...and I love the look of The In-Between Hour. Here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES

  9. I have seen The Luminaries on a few blogs.

ENJOY all your books and your week. We are FREEZING here with below zero temperatures, but not as bad as some places.

STAY WARM if you are in this deep freeze.

  11. Loved The Exile, because it was an Outlander book! I agree, it is best to read a world building book rather than listen. Have a great week.
