Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
This week has been a balmy, sunny, windless Autumn week, totally gorgeous weather. This week its about to turn, and wouldn't you know it we have some royal visitors this coming week to sample the not so good weather. However I hope Prince William, his Duchess and Prince George enjoy NZ anyway.
Last week I managed 5 days walking, mostly 30 minutes, one a bit shorter - rather than not go at all! I am appreciative of Felicity at Geeky Blogger's Book Blog for running this challenge as it keeps me motivated. The check in just adds the needed pressure!
This week I read:
One Foot in the Grave Review
Floored Review
I will eventually read the whole Night Huntress series - I am not a huge paranormal fan, but that said I seem to read quite a few of them! Floored by Ainslie Paton ( Australian author) entertained me with a romantic suspense.
I am reading:
Betting the Rainbow by Jodi Thomas.
I am about halfway through - I really like her Harmony small town series, many of the characters have their stories carried through many of the books, this one has some more about Reagan and Ronny, both characters I love.
Next up:
The Collector by Nora Roberts
Coming up on the blog:
My review of Four Friends by Robyn Carr - the 8th
Interview with Teresa Rizzo - 14th.
I see a lot of bloggers reading Jeaniene Frost's books and she speaks at my local bookstore fairly often. I need to give her a try some day! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteI am not a big fan of the Night Huntress series but I love vampires and paranormal fantasy. I guess I just couldn't stand Catherine for the most part and Bones wasn't all that hot imo. I did enjoy a few of the spin offs though, like Mencheres and Spade.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
I hear you, Felicia's check-ins are just the 'push' I need to stay motivated. Ooh is that a new Nora Roberts? Looking forward to your review of Four Friends, I'm hoping to get to it next week. Have a great week and happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteI have The Collector and Four Friends on my wishlist. Glad you are having nice weather. I am at the other end of seasons, entering spring, but it has not been warm enough to please me yet :) Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI have The Collector on my list...and I'm eager to read it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog...and for the congrats on my novel.
Enjoy your week!
The Collector is on my wish list...hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Happy reading!
Are you planning to see the royals while they are their Kathryn?
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week,
Shelleyrae @ Book'd Out
Just on TV, they don't come near us, except of course Wellington. I stopped my class yesterday and we watched their arrival from a news clip!
DeleteI'm glad you are being successful with your walking. Motivation check in does help I'll bet.
ReplyDeleteI stalled after the third or fourth Night Huntress book. The series just got a bit too edgy for me.
I like Jodi Thomas and have a few of her books in my TBR pile to read. Probably more of the historicals than the contemporaries. Hope you have a good week.
Nice week for you...ENJOY your upcoming week. Walking is my favorite exercise besides reading. :)
