It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?
Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

This month I am taking part in the Take Control of your TBR Pile March Challenge over at Caffeinated reviewer.  It means I am concentrating a little more on my actual shelves or Kindle shelves rather than review books.  I hope to clear about 13, which isn't even a small dent, but should be satisfying anyway.

Yesterday we finally got some rain after about ten weeks of no rain, so I have never been so happy to see it and then back to sunshine.  Can't complain.

Fit Readers Badge
I accomplished 90% of my goal steps for the past week, prefer 100%, but may have to re look at the goal and drop it slightly.  My knee is complaining, so might have to be kind to it for awhile!

What I read last week:

Book cover

Great historical romance.
My first by Sherry Thomas

Book cover

A little different to the other two books I have
read by Cathy Lamb, but I loved it.

Book Cover

My top favourite Australian author
and another good story.

What I am reading at present:

Still listening to Angel Mine by Sherryl Woods.

Reading By Bread Alone by Sarah-Kate Lynch.  (N.Z. author)

Up next:

The Settling Earth by Rebecca Burns. (For review)
Rebecca Burns is a British Author but the linked short stories in it, are set in colonial New Zealand.

Then possibly Outback Blaze by Rachael Johns.  Reading a series backward here, but this was one I hadn't read and picked up at the local fund raising Book Fair last year and now moving it up off the TBR pile! My reading this coming week certainly has a Down Under flavour!

Posts from the last week:

The Road to Hope      Rachael Johns

Intensive Care            Nicki Edwards

Thief With No Shadow    Emily Gee

Jubilee's Journey      Bette Lee Crosby

The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie   Jennifer Ashley

  1. You're having a bit of a romance reading fest at the moment. I like the idea of clearing TBR piles though I tend to get behind in my reviewing more than my reading!

  11. I haven't made any sort of dent in my TBR pile but I have set a goal of trying to read all the new books I impulsively buy. Some weeks are better than others. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  12. Good luck on your challenge! I just finished reading Maya Angelou's I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings for the first time. It was so good. Now I am reading Seed by Lisa Heathfield, also a good book. :)

  14. I love the australian themed reads here lately :D They don't get enough attention, in my opinion. Good luck on your TBR goals ~ I only chose to do 5 so I knew I could realistically meet it, but I'll be disappointed if I don't read more. :)
