The one I am proposing to start up is the Month in Review meme. Many bloggers already look back over the month and share whatever they choose - for example number of books read, number of reviews, books bought etc etc. This was my February Looking Back post. A meme would bring all these posts together and give us the opportunity to connect and comment.
So what do you think? Do you already do some kind of looking back over the previous month post?
Would you be interested in linking your post up to this meme? Questions? Thoughts?
I find the weekly "It's Monday" really helps, so I bet a monthly would be great too. I never look at my blog or reading stats, and it would be nice to see how far I've come on my challenges, or gotten through all the NetGalleys I foolishly requested thinking I'd only get one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for looking out for me during the chat. It was the first time I've ever been able to post, you know I usually lurk. I used twubs, which really helped, I think.
Thanks Elizabeth. Appreciate your thoughts.
DeleteI am just a quiet but non lurker presence, but felt good to see you there. I did participate in education twitter chats when I was working so that helped me get up to speed. Twubs was new to me, have used Tweetchat but liked Twubs.
I would absolutely link up to your meme! I already do a monthly post, where I list my books read, favorite books, and what I look forward to in the next month. I think it's a great idea. :)
ReplyDeleteBrandie thanks, really appreciate that. I really enjoy reading the blogs I follow for their end of month review.
DeleteI do a monthly wrap-up post and would definitely link up with you!
ReplyDeleteNise. Thanks. It gives me a good feel to know that the 'locals' would support it!
DeleteI already do a monthly wrap-up and would certainly link up with you, I love seeing what others have accomplished!
ReplyDeleteThanks Whitney
DeleteA monthly round up meme is awesome, when done well. I would be more inclined to participate (as a reader of blogs) if the month-in-review were limited to the "top 5 (or 7or10max)" posts that I should read. Like a monthly "best of." Maybe the one most popular post, the one "hidden gem" post that could use some comment love, and the blog author's favorite post from the previous month. Listing too many posts, and I'll likely ignore everything after the first three to link up. Also, a theme for each month would likely keep me reading. Looking forward to seeing what you decide to do!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for persevering Missy and for your interesting ideas.
DeleteKathryn, I just started writing a monthly update post for my blog this year and enjoy it. I would link to your meme if you have one. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat for the support. I have decided to go ahead with it, just need to prepare a post to announce it as going ahead. I enjoy my own monthly update, now that I have time to do it!
DeleteI already do a monthly wrap up post for my books read, progress on my blog goals, and an overview of the month, so would love to link up with your new meme!
