I made my goal for the week - just. And I have signed up again for August. It's the main thing that keeps me walking!! And of course great audio.

Viewing
I did a little catch of TV viewing this past week and watched the second season of A Place to Call Home. An Australian series that I am now happy to say will get a third season, as Foxtel has picked it up. I believe it is now being shown in some areas of the USA. Wonderful historical drama, I just love it. Now I just hope the next seasons get picked up in New Zealand, but if not, then the DVD will be it! Great interview with one of the stars of the show, Marta Dusseldorp in the Huffington Post.

What I read last week:

book cover book cover book cover

book camp book cover
Winter's Camp was a novella. Safe Harbour a wonderful Australian suspense story.

What I am reading at present:

Listening to:

#20 in the series. Working my way  through this series at the rate of about one a month! About half way there! If reviews on Goodreads are anything to go by, this is an extra good one in the series.

I am reading
Love the cover of this one!

Up next:

Inconsolable by Ainslie Paton.   Can't resist this Australian author!

  4. Am glad you're still getting through the JD Robbs. It must almost be time for a new release... I'm trying to remember if I've requested one recently!

Well done on your steps etc and signing up again for FitReaders. I keep saying I'm going to do it, but ..... (sigh)

  5. A Place To Call Home sounds great- I liked that interview. Sounds like a wonderful show, and set in the 50's, Yes please. :) I like that we're getting more Australian shows here, even if it's still not very many. I'll be checking to see if our PBS carries it. Thanks for sharing it.

  6. I've watched the first few episodes of A Place to Call Home and loved it, just got sidetracked binge watching another series so thanks for the reminder, I'll get back to it. Way to go with the steps ... I'm the same, FitReaders keeps me moving and sane.

So glad you loved Safe Harbour. Northern Heat, Helene's latest is a great read too. I was thinking of reading Ainslie's latest but I'm kind of drowning in review books so maybe I'll wait for your thoughts lol
Have a wonderful week and happy reading :)

    1. Looking forward to Northern Heat as well. I totally understand review books building up. I've decided to try and close my eyes for the rest of the year to review books, although have about 10 to read and that's enough!

  7. I'm not really familiar with the books that you got this week (seems like I'm saying that at every blog I visit this morning), but I hope you enjoy them all! And good luck on your Fit Reader goals. Have a great week!

  8. I'll have to look into A Place to Call Home to see if I can watch it here. I'm waiting for the new season of the Miss Fisher Mysteries to be on Netflix but that may not be till next year. Maybe PBS will decide to pick it up to fill the void after Downton Abbey!

I want to read Brown-Eyed Girl and A Love to Call Her Own looks really cute.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  11. I listened to Naked in Death and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my library doesn't have the rest of the books on audio and I've gotten stubborn! I haven't checked any of the rest of the series out in print! I need to get over it and continue the series. Enjoy your week!

  15. I've never heard of that show, but isn't it great when you find one you like and it doesn't get cancelled? I always have that fear when I start watching something new. Probably one of the main reasons I gave up most tv - I'd get so upset if I show I enjoyed was cancelled. Happens all the time, too!

Great reading week! And good job meeting your step goal for the week! :)

  16. Good job keeping up your fitness goals.
The Spring Bride looks wonderful and I like the sound of Winter Camp.
You are doing better on J.D. Robb then I am. I hope to get to #14 soon.
    Have a great week!
