It's Christmas Day Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

May you all have a wonderful Christmas. As this goes live I will be doing the final preparations as family arrive around 5 pm.  It is so hot!  Hoping for cooler by then but most likely not going to happen. Please send snow!

What I read last week:

Thoroughly enjoyed both these.

  4. Merry Christmas to you! It's snowing here so if I could you just a little bit, to cool things off, I would. Everything here is white!

  6. Merry Christmas, Kathryn! I'd send you some of our snow if I could!! Enjoy your day with your family. Right after I send this, I need to fix my Green Bean Casserole and we're having Christmas Potluck at 1:00 p.m. at my parents' house. This is our feast day :)

I still have no idea what I'll pick for my First Book of the Year. That cozy mystery looks cute! Enjoy!!

  7. The Susan Wiggs cover calls to me - I enjoy her books. We have frigid temps in my area with a fresh dusting of snow. We'll drive about an hour to my sister's home for a family party later today. Merry Christmas, Kathryn!

  15. Hope you had a Merry Christmas Kathryn! I'm glad to see you enjoyed both the books this week. I've got the Susan Mallery coming up and I really want to read the Susan Wigg!
PS - I think you'd enjoy A Week in Winter. I've heard it's very different from a lot of other Maeve Binchy books. In fact her fans don't seem to enjoy it. It reminded me quite a bit of Rosamunde Pilcher if you've read any of hers.
