It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

badge

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

Jen Vincent, Teach Mentor Texts, and Kellee of Unleashing Readers decided to give It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? a kidlit focus. If you read and review books in children’s literature – picture books, chapter books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, anything in the world of kidlit – join them!

As I was away a good chunk of the week I didn't get much reading accomplished.

My sister is holding her own and it was good to spend time with her and family. A niece went up and back with me in my car and it was a great time to get to know her better. Two of my other sisters were in another car and we met halfway at a cafe both ways.

What I read last week:

I finished listening to The Secret to Southern Charm.  Very much enjoyed and I look forward to #3 in this series. So well narrated too.

What I am reading at present:

I am just starting this library read.

I am about to start listening to Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe.

  16. Glad to hear your sister is stable and you were able to spend time with her and the rest of your family. I know what you mean about your niece - I had a similar long car ride with my 20-yr old cousin this past winter, and I really enjoyed the time with just the two of us and getting to know her better, since we are usually surrounded by a dozen other family members when we see each other!

Hope your books are a comfort to you right now and you are enjoying the family time.

  22. I'm not sure there's a better place to get to know someone than on a car ride! Glad your sister is doing well and it sounds like you've had lots of family time. I have Lighthouse Beach too but I had kind of forgotten about it I need to pull it out of the depths of my Kindle. It looks perfect for right now. Hope you're having a great week!
