Fitreaders. Sunday Post. What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? badge for Sunday Post
Sheila at Book Journey runs It's Monday! What Are You Reading? While this  meme is not fully active at present I will be linking up as well to the Sunday Post at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Hope you have all been having a good week. I've enjoyed visiting a few blogs, reading heaps. Monday evening I went to listen to a women's choir sing. It's not my thing - I'm musically challenged to say the least. But a friend was singing in it so went along. I have to say I enjoyed it and admired their hard work.

I was very close to achieving my goal for the past week, may have been a few hundred steps short. The weather has been very wet and one day I just didn't go out, another day I was waiting to hear from workmen who were meant to show up to give me back hot water (but didn't).  However the fault was fixed as it was a general lines fault.

What I read last week:

The Perfect Son - loved this book, so much so will hold a giveaway for it when I publish my review.
Visions in Death - another excellent addition to the series, love seeing Eve develop book by book.
Honeysuckle Summer - I am getting through the Sweet Magnolia series - nearly there.
The Summer Wind - 2nd book in Lowcountry Summer trilogy - audiobook - very enjoyable listen.
The Lives Between Us - thought provoking book around embryonic stem cell research and therapy.  I see there is a Giveaway on Goodreads for this book up until 24th June - international. Worth a read.

  8. No hot water is awful. I'm so glad it got fixed! It's hard to get much exercise in when the weather is bad. It definitely doesn't make me want to go outside! Love the look of your new books! The Sherryl Woods cover is especially lovely. Have a great week!

  10. No hot water? That's the worst surprise in the morning. It happened to us once and we had to call the plumber as the light went out on the heater. Natural gas freaks me out and I wasn't willing to try relighting it.

    Have a great week!

  13. You have me interested in Perfect Son. Maybe I'll squeeze in another J.D. Robb soon too! Spring Fever looks like a great summer listen.
I am not a great singer but I love to make a "joyful noise" in our church choir. :-) I'm glad you enjoyed the program. I hope you are able to get back into your fitness even through the rain.

  14. I've always loved singing and think it would be fun to be a part of an adult choir. Or just be in a band for a day. :)

Our weather has been rainy and miserable all week. We finally had some sunshine today and it was wonderful.

Glad your hot water issues were fixed! I need to look into The Perfect Son...looks intriguing. Enjoy your reads this week!

  15. Well done on the walking Kathryn. Glad you enjoyed the choir ... my family were under a rock when musical talent was handed out but I can appreciate the musicality of others.

Awesome book line up too ... you are dangerous to my TBR pile lol. I've got the first book in the low country series on my reading list for next week and now I want to add The Perfect Son and A Year of Marvellous Ways although I still haven't read When God was a Rabbit and it's been on my bookshelf for a few years *sigh*

Have a wonderful week and happy reading :)
